Senior Manager, R&D Data Steward

Responsibilities

• Lead the establishment of a data governance framework in line with organizational goals
• Mentor and manage a team of data stewards across multiple R&D domains
• Define roles and workflows for clear ownership of data entities and processes
• Act as an escalation point for complex data issues, facilitating timely resolution
• Collaborate with governance teams to operationalize data standards and policies
• Monitor and enforce data quality and compliance in all operational systems
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using automation and AI tools

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Information Systems, Data Management, or related field; advanced degree preferred
• 7+ years of experience in data stewardship, governance, or data management, especially in Pharma R&D data
• Proven track record in defining governance frameworks and leading cross-functional teams tied to critical R&D master data
• Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor data stewardship teams effectively
• Deep understanding of Pharma R&D data domains, regulatory requirements, and data standards
• Experience with stewardship and metadata platforms like Informatica, Collibra, and Reltio
• Strong stakeholder management skills combining scientific, operational, and compliance perspectives
