Position Summary

The Senior Manager, Quality Management Systems will oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of a common Quality Management System (QMS) for Architectural Metals. This role will ensure compliance, effectiveness, and integration of the QMS into daily operations across all Metals locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Quality Systems Management: Serve as the enterprise-wide owner of the Metals QMS, define, maintain, and continuously improve the standardized QMS framework across all Metals locations.

  • Lead through direct program ownership and cross-functional influence to ensure consistent adoption, alignment, and execution of QMS requirements at each site.

  • Oversee the development and deployment of a common Architectural Metals Quality Manual.

  • Manage audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards.

  • Analyze audit results and drive corrective actions to address non-conformances.

  • Ensure that all policies are documented, communicated, and understood by relevant stakeholders.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay up to date with relevant industry regulations and standards, ensuring all quality practices comply with industry and customer requirements.

  • Systems deployment: Lead the implementation of IT solutions to aid in the execution of common quality processes such as non-conformance management, corrective and preventive actions, document control, and internal auditing.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with site leadership and quality teams to drive compliance, address gaps, and support readiness for internal and external audits. Work closely with department heads to integrate quality standards into all areas of operation. Educate employees on QMS requirements, quality tools, quality standards, and best practices through training. Help with high-profile quality issues within the business and serve as a quality resource for ad-hoc requests.

  • Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement through data analysis and feedback. Lead cross-functional teams in quality improvement initiatives. Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality.

  • Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of quality activities, audits, and improvements. Prepare and present regular reports on quality performance to senior management.

Education And Experience

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Experience: Proven experience in developing and managing quality policies, procedures, and systems. Experience working in a multi-site environment. 10+ years of experience in quality and manufacturing.
