For our client, a leader in the Finance & Insurance space, we are seeking a Senior Manager of Quality Engineering to join their team. This role leads work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery, collaborating across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and long-term technology capabilities within a regulated financial services environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

  • Set the strategic direction for quality across multiple platform portfolios
  • Architect practices and standards that scale beyond individual portfolios
  • Define quality engineering process standards and SLAs
  • Own and report on quality metrics across portfolios
  • Lead and develop a team of quality engineering managers and engineers
  • Partner on hiring and capability planning within the quality engineering team
  • Build a center of expertise on AI-led quality engineering

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 12+ years in quality engineering, with 6+ years in people leadership, managing managers
  • Proven track record in mentoring senior engineers and tech leads into leadership roles
  • Hands-on technical depth in evaluating automation frameworks and architectural decisions
  • Experience managing multiple portfolios or programs simultaneously
  • Demonstrated ability to manage blended teams of employees and contractors
  • Builder mindset with comfort in ambiguity

Pay

$140,000 – $190,000 annually
