Senior Manager, Purchasing

About the role

The Senior Manager, Purchasing provides strategic direction and leadership to the Longview purchasing department, ensuring that sourcing decisions support operational and financial objectives. This role requires a deep understanding of global supply chains, supplier risk management, and cost optimization in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute long-term procurement strategies that align with company goals.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing purchasing team, including buyers and expeditors.
• Establish and maintain strong supplier partnerships to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Oversee risk mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and finance to forecast material needs.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in sourcing, procurement processes, and supplier performance.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in procurement or supply chain leadership.
• Role is located at the Longview, TX facility; no remote or hybrid schedule.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Master’s degree in Business or Supply Chain; certifications such as CPSM, CPM, or APICS/CSCP.
• Preferred: Experience in HVAC or industrial manufacturing.
