About the role
Patients with mitral and tricuspid heart valve disease often have complex conditions with limited treatment options. Our Transcatheter Mitral and Tricuspid Therapies (TMTT) business unit is boldly pursuing an innovative portfolio of technologies to address unmet clinical needs. As the Senior Manager Program Management, you’ll ensure our projects are completed efficiently and effectively, leveraging a strategic mindset to bring innovative solutions for patients.
You will lead a portfolio of high-impact, cross-functional programs and strategic initiatives that advance patient care, drive business results, and support long-term organizational objectives. This role requires strong program management expertise, business acumen, and stakeholder leadership to define project scope, align resources, establish execution plans, and drive successful delivery across functions, platforms, and geographies.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex cross-functional programs and strategic initiatives from concept through implementation, ensuring alignment with business priorities and maximizing patient and organizational impact.
- Partner with functional leaders and stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, success metrics, resource requirements, and governance structures.
- Provide leadership, direction, and oversight to cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration, accountability, and execution excellence.
- Proactively identify risks, dependencies, opportunities, and alternative scenarios, driving timely decisions and issue resolution.
- Develop and maintain integrated project plans, timelines, budgets, and performance metrics to ensure successful program execution.
- Communicate program status, milestones, business benefits, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership through clear and effective executive-level reporting.
- Develop peer, cross-functional, and cross-business relationships to maximize best practice sharing and team effectiveness.
- Adhere to all EHS rules and requirements, ensuring safety and environmental protection within your span of influence.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 10 years of progressive experience leading projects and programs of increasing complexity or equivalent work experience.
Qualifications (Preferred)
- Master’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in project and program management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at multiple organizational levels.
- Strong communication, facilitation, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience leading projects within new product development, clinical research, or medical device environments.
- MBA or demonstrated record of strong business and strategic acumen.
- PMP or equivalent project management certification.
- Experience leading global, matrixed teams across multiple functions and regions.
- Knowledge of structural heart therapies or cardiovascular medical devices.
- Excellent problem-solving, agility, leadership through change, organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills, including high discretion/judgment in decision-making.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and manage relationships to drive achievement of objectives.
- Ability to develop and integrate metrics into projects and operations that clearly demonstrate business value.
- Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels and proactively escalate issues to appropriate management.
- Ability to work and excel within a fast-paced, dynamic, and constantly changing work environment.
- Share information and provide basic problem-solving solutions; gain cooperation of others and conduct presentations of technical information.
Pay
For California (CA), the base pay range for this position is $139,000 to $196,000 (highly experienced). The pay for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience).
