Within the Customer Services & Strategy teams, we build technology-led, data-driven products across Fraud, Recoveries, Collections, and Digital Servicing to deliver personalized, empathetic customer experiences at scale.

As a Senior Manager Product Manager, you will lead high-impact initiatives across core ecosystems, including:

  • Modernized Core Platform: Migrate US Card Recoveries onto Capital One’s next-generation data infrastructure, unlocking platform capabilities driving an estimated $200M+ in annual recoveries.
  • Agent & Customer Assist Platform (AI & Servicing): Accelerate the evolution of our AI-leveraged source of truth for Card servicing policies, building intelligent tooling for agents and digital channels.
  • Credit Bureau Disputes: Drive delivery for Card Credit Bureau Disputes, ensuring data integrity, compliance, and frictionless user experiences.
  • Conversational AI Solutions: Lead GenAI servicing initiatives, scaling automated validation across customer interactions as part of our enterprise quality platform.

You will sit at the intersection of customer empathy, business strategy, technological innovation, and transformational leadership, defining long-term product roadmaps and mentoring high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

  • Champion Human-Centered Product Discovery: Lead customer inquiry and research to cultivate a "customer-back" mindset. Define and align stakeholders around complex problem statements to design iterative, high-impact solutions.
  • Drive Business Strategy & Value Maximization: Own the end-to-end product roadmap and financial impacts using data-driven insights to refine investment decisions, mitigate risks, and establish KPIs. Identify new opportunities within the value chain.
  • Partner for Technological Excellence & Stewardship: Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams to influence sustainable technical architecture, balancing near-term delivery with long-term scalability. Champion software reuse, platform modernization, and standards for security, resilience, and performance.
  • Act as a Transformational & Strategic Leader: Formulate and articulate a compelling product vision to rally executive stakeholders. Push back on stagnant perspectives, navigate organizational challenges, and coach/empower top product talent.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, one of the following (with degree completion expected on or before the start date):
    • A Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field), Business, or Marketing.
    • OR a Bachelor's degree in any field and at least 4 years of Product Management experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience translating business strategy and analysis into consumer-facing digital products.

Pay

The annual salary ranges for this role are as follows (full-time; part-time salaries will be prorated):

  • Chicago, IL: $182,500 - $208,300 (Sr. Manager, Product Management); $149,800 - $171,000 (Manager, Product Management)
  • McLean, VA: $200,700 - $229,100 (Sr. Manager, Product Management); $164,800 - $188,100 (Manager, Product Management)
  • New York, NY: $219,000 - $249,900 (Sr. Manager, Product Management); $179,700 - $205,100 (Manager, Product Management)
  • Richmond, VA: $182,500 - $208,300 (Sr. Manager, Product Management); $149,800 - $171,000 (Manager, Product Management)

Candidates hired for other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location. The role is also eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, including cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives (LTI).
