About the role

As the Senior Product Manager for Google Automation, you will lead the strategy and development of Capital One’s automation strategy for Google Workspace. In this highly visible role, you will govern the entire Google automation ecosystem at Capital One, bridging the gap between personal productivity and enterprise-scale innovation. You will empower associates to maximize the capabilities of Google automation offerings through API Platforms, Apps Script, AppSheet, Add-Ons, and Chrome Extensions. This is a high impact role, shaping the customer experience for +100,000 associates across Capital One.

Responsibilities

  • Define the Google Automation Strategy: Own the roadmap for the Google API Enablement platform, creating a self-service hub where associates securely create, manage, and monitor Google Workspace API connections.
  • Scale Machine Access: Empower technical teams building high-value, high-volume applications to seamlessly integrate with Google APIs. You will eliminate the current manual exception process, enabling hundreds of enterprise AI and automation use cases across the company.
  • Empower Citizen Developers: Guide the strategy for Human Access, providing data analysts and business analysts with secure personal access tokens to automate low-code workflows and reporting tasks using tools like EMP and Databricks.
  • Govern the Automation Ecosystem: Lead the integration and management of diverse personal automation tools, including Apps Script, AppSheet, and third-party integrations, ensuring they are well-managed and align with enterprise standards.
  • Drive Security and Compliance: Partner closely with Risk and Cyber teams to ensure all API calls are authenticated, authorized, and audited via Workload Identity Federation (WIF) and third-party proxies.

Requirements

  • Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining one of the following with an expectation that the required degree will be obtained on or before the scheduled start date:
    • A Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field),
    • A Bachelor's degree in any field and 4 years of Product Management experience.

Pay

Salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting.

  • Chicago, IL: $182,500 - $208,300 for Sr. Mgr, Product Management
  • Mclean, VA: $200,700 - $229,100 for Sr. Mgr, Product Management
  • New York, NY: $219,000 - $249,900 for Sr. Mgr, Product Management
  • Richmond, VA: $182,500 - $208,300 for Sr. Mgr, Product Management
