Senior Manager, Plant Accounting & Financial Operations

About the role

Lead the Factory Accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with IFRS/US GAAP, and support plant management with financial insights and forecasts. Oversee the consolidation of factory results, develop leadership skills within the team, and advise on cost control and profitability strategies.

Responsibilities

• Guide factory group leads, communicate directives, and develop their skills through training and succession planning.
• Manage collection and consolidation of factory financial results, including budgets and monthly reports.
• Mentor associates to cultivate future leaders.
• Implement standardized accounting practices and support cost department management.
• Advise plant leadership on financial performance and support operational improvement initiatives.
• Develop team plans, evaluate plant conditions, and ensure compliance with operational standards.
• Manage 2 direct and 10-15 indirect reports, fostering associate development and identifying future leaders.
• Develop team plans, review plant operations, and implement strategies to improve efficiency and profitability.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance; 10+ years of experience, with preferred Honda background.
• Minimum 2 years in a Group Lead role and 4+ years in leadership.
• Expertise in accounting, financial reporting, IFRS/US GAAP, manufacturing accounting, budgeting, and financial analysis.
• Strong leadership, communication, project management, and mentoring abilities.
