Senior Manager, Operations
Job description
Leads and directs production operations for an assigned manufacturing unit within a Stryker facility, ensuring safe, compliant, high-quality, and cost-effective delivery of products to meet customer and business needs. Responsible for developing and executing production strategies, building organizational capability, driving continuous improvement, and partnering cross-functionally to achieve performance targets for safety, quality, service, cost, people development, and operational excellence.
- Develop and execute a strategic vision for the Business Unit aligned with GQ&O Manufacturing and Technical Centers of Excellence.
- Translate business objectives into actionable production, labor, and operational plans to achieve performance targets.
- Lead and manage unit operations to meet production, quality, cost, and delivery objectives.
- Own unit financial performance, including P&L, budgeting, forecasting, and capital/labor strategy development.
- Drive capacity planning, resource optimization, and cost reduction initiatives to ensure efficient and timely delivery.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement through value stream mapping, waste elimination, and process optimization to improve throughput, lead time, and customer satisfaction.
- Lead daily management systems and operational metrics to monitor performance and drive accountability across the team.
- Ensure development and execution of standardized work, job instructions, training programs, and visual management tools.
- Oversee compliance with quality systems, including execution of control plans, audit processes, and corrective actions.
- Promote a strong safety culture, including behavioral-based safety practices and adherence to regulatory and company standards.
- Lead, coach, and develop managers and employees; drive performance management, engagement, and career development.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with divisional stakeholders and peer groups to align priorities and optimize business outcomes.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required
- 10+ years related manufacturing or technical experience
- 5+ years supervisory experience
Preferred Skills
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering
- Experience and understanding of assembly, machining, and robotic welding
- Proven experience leading a technical team in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with Quality Management Systems in a med device environment
- Proven experience and understanding in using problem solving tools including Fishbone Diagrams, 5-Whys, Pareto Charts, Scatter Diagrams, and histograms
Pay Ranges
USN: $135,600 - $225,900 USD Annual
