About the Role

Senior Manager, Medical Monitoring Analytics, Oncology at AbbVie Inc. in North Chicago, IL. This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.

Responsibilities

  • Support Oncology Medical & Scientific Director adoption of advanced technologies and processes for enterprise data analytics across diverse sources, influencing medical oncology stakeholders to maximize data and analytics value.
  • Mentor, guide, and supervise junior staff and contractors.
  • Lead development and validation of innovative algorithms using advanced analytics and AI/ML.
  • Oversee analytically and clinically complex cross-functional R&D Clinical Development projects to drive data-informed decisions.
  • Represent the Medical & Safety Analytics team at key regulatory, compliance, and governance meetings as a subject matter expert in oncology medical analytics.
  • Supervise resource allocation to ensure consistent analytics support and timely delivery of analytics solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations, GCPs, ICH guidelines, SOPs, and stay up to date with relevant global regulatory policies.

Requirements

  • Must have an MS in statistics, mathematics, analytics, bioinformatics, data science, or equivalent field, and 2 years of experience applying data science analytics techniques in the pharma industry. Of the required experience, must include:
    • 2 years coding using R and Python;
    • 2 years performing statistical and data mining techniques;
    • 2 years building statistical visualizations tools in Spotfire, Tableau, and MS PowerBI;
    • 2 years using pharma full lifecycle domain knowledge as an analytic consultant for cross-functional teams.
  • Alternatively, would accept a BS in statistics, mathematics, analytics, bioinformatics, data science, or equivalent field, and 5 years of experience applying data science analytics techniques in the pharma industry. Of the required experience, must include:
    • 5 years coding using R and Python;
    • 5 years performing statistical and data mining techniques;
    • 5 years building statistical visualizations tools in Spotfire, Tableau, and MS PowerBI;
    • 5 years using pharma full lifecycle domain knowledge as an analytic consultant for cross-functional teams.
  • With either alternative, must have 1 year of:
    • Performing project management;
    • Leading a team or cross-functional initiative.
  • Work experience may be gained concurrently. Will accept a combination of education, training, and work experience.

Pay

Salary Range: $202,779 - $236,500 per year.
