Description

The Sr. Manager IT Application Development – Finance Data, Analytics will lead a team that builds and operates cloud-native applications, services, and custom analytics solutions supporting FP&A and Controllership. This role partners closely with Finance stakeholders, Enterprise Data Engineering, and Enterprise AI teams to deliver scalable solutions. In addition to delivering new capabilities, this role is accountable for supporting existing finance analytics and traditional reporting, enabling reliable onboarding and ingestion of finance data into the United data hub (UDH).

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive IT experience with a strong focus on software engineering / application development, including building cloud-native services or data-intensive applications at enterprise scale.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience managing teams and/or complex cross-functional initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering modern cloud-based solutions using AWS and modern engineering practices (CI/CD, DevSecOps, observability).
  • Strong engineering fundamentals including API/service design, event-driven patterns, resiliency, performance tuning, and secure SDLC practices.
  • Experience working with modern cloud and analytics technologies such as: AWS (ECS, Lambda, EventBridge, SQS, S3), C#/.NET services and API-based integrations, Databricks, Apache Spark, Python, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog (including SQL Serverless capabilities), Amazon Redshift, Power BI or similar analytics consumption tools.
  • Experience supporting production services and/or analytics platforms (monitoring, incident management, operational readiness).
  • Foundational knowledge of AI/ML and agentic AI concepts sufficient to lead production use cases with Enterprise AI partners.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to translate finance needs into clear technical plans and delivery outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a related field.
  • Experience modernizing or refactoring legacy solutions into cloud-native architectures and operating them at scale.
  • Experience delivering calculation-intensive or rules-driven finance solutions (allocations, scenario modeling, forecasting, anomaly detection) with explainability and auditability requirements.
  • Experience with data quality and observability frameworks.
  • Experience with MLOps/LLMOps and operational monitoring for AI-enabled solutions.
  • Airline industry experience.

Pay

The base pay range for this role is $140,600.00 to $183,108.00. The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
