Senior Manager, Indirect Tax

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Manager, Indirect Tax to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space. This role will oversee indirect tax compliance for U.S. and international jurisdictions, with a strong focus on sales & use tax, VAT, and GST. The position will also help shape tax engine configurations, monitor evolving digital tax regulations, and partner across the business to support accurate, scalable tax processes. In addition, this leader will manage audits, reconciliations, and a distributed tax team while serving as a key advisor on cross-functional initiatives. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $162,500 – $192,500 annually Responsibilities Oversee monthly compliance and filings for U.S. and foreign jurisdictions Evaluate product taxability and lead configuration of tax engines Monitor global digital regulations and implement necessary process changes Manage end-to-end tax audits and respond to inquiries Handle account reconciliations and accruals related to indirect taxes Lead and develop a globally distributed tax team Represent the tax function in cross-functional projects Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred 10+ years of tax experience in public accounting or a large corporate tax department, especially in technology/SaaS In-depth knowledge of U.S. sales & use tax and international VAT/GST Experience managing and developing teams Hands-on experience with tax software tools like Avalara, NetSuite, Alteryx, and Salesforce Strong written and verbal communication skills Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Benefits Employer-subsidized medical, vision, and dental coverage 401k match for retirement savings Monthly productivity stipend Flexible Time Away Program plus Sick Time Off Life insurance and disability coverage 12 paid holidays per year Up to 24 weeks of parental leave Paid Volunteer Day Access to professional development resources Company-funded perks including counseling memberships and retail discounts Teleworking options available Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
