About the role

Defines, implements, and owns the organization's overall sourcing strategy for the indirect supply chain. Develops a procurement plan, defines requirements, selects suppliers, develops offers, leads negotiations, executes contracts, and manages contracts. Leads operations that build value-driven vendor partnerships focusing on risk management, reliability, and cost-effectiveness across the company, including near-term and long-term horizons. Responsible for budget, order fulfillment, and inventory within the area of responsibility, managing a several hundred million dollar annual spend.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the delivery of products or services as part of the organization's sourcing/procurement strategy.
  • Develop and gain agreement to annual business plans for a function or substantial business area, ensuring alignment with strategy; quantify business outcomes (e.g., revenues or other KPIs); detail expense and headcount budgets; and develop business cases for key projects, ensuring cross-functional integration.
  • Set and manage area budgets to align with organizational strategy.
  • Communicate the function's strategy and its relationship to the organization's mission, vision, and values; clarify actions needed to implement it and motivate teams to achieve business goals.
  • Identify and manage stakeholders up to top management level, addressing their needs/issues/concerns and leading stakeholder engagement plans.
  • Support the overall organizational strategy by developing and delivering operational plans and outcomes for a large portion of the business.
  • Manage a major part of the organization's supplier management program.
  • Take personal responsibility for mission-critical strategic supplier relationships for the indirect supply chain.
  • Manage and report on the performance of the function or business area; set performance objectives for direct reports and hold them accountable; take corrective action as needed.
  • Manage the development and training for direct reports.
  • Implement risk management throughout the indirect supply chain.
  • Lead the development of partnering relationships with senior executives, building credibility and trust to support business strategy and plans.
  • Define the detailed organization structure for a business area to align with corporate principles and business objectives.
  • Identify capabilities needed to meet current and emerging business needs, evaluate gaps, and prioritize development activities.
  • Motivate others to develop their capabilities and fulfill their potential; build capabilities through mentoring and informal methods.
  • Ensure order fulfillment for indirect materials or services.
  • Ensure adherence to budget and inventory targets.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or equivalent combination of education and experience; Master's Degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience providing leadership in work-related systems, processes, and challenges.
  • 5+ years of direct leadership experience.
  • Experience in negotiation as the organizational authority, obtaining consensus between internal or external parties with differing interests.
  • Experience in contract management, acting as the organization's authority to supervise contract execution.

Pay

Salary Range: USD $144,877.43/Yr. - USD $217,316.14/Yr.
