Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Manage the Manufacturing and Distribution aspects of supply chain within the FP&A department.
- Responsible for monthly financial reporting related to the above as well as developing long-term strategic plans, annual operating plans, business metrics, and capital requests.
- Work closely with accounting to understand how actuals will flow and ensure the forecasting process is aligned.
- Provide financial decision support to business units and supply chain leadership teams.
- Connect operational decisions and activities to financial statements and results.
- Support commercial and financial strategies enabled by effective planning, measurement and reporting.
- Identify new opportunities for cost savings and incorporate best in class business processes working closely with our TMO process.
- Manage financial analytical support for the global supply functions and support the operational management team (Manufacturing, Distribution, Asia Supply and Corporate Transportation) to achieve their financial targets.
- Develop and manage financial reporting and forecasting tools for above referenced global supply functions.
- Analyze and report actions causing operational spending, variances and manufacturing / distribution / transportation variances to plan, forecast and prior year.
- Prepare costing models and financial analysis for product “make vs. buy” decisions.
- Aid in capital appropriation requests and programs as well as review assumptions and financial impact of each capital request.
- Prepare operational and financial modeling for special projects and long-term supply chain strategies.
- Coordinate the development of product standard costs and ensure cost-of-goods-sold are accurately portrayed in financial statements.
- Facilitate and strengthen communications and business relationship between finance and the other functional areas of the business.
- Aid in the overall cash flow forecast including the overall process and various required inputs across multiple business units.
Experience Required
- Required Length & Type of Experience: 2+ years of Public Accounting or Cost Accounting 5+ years of progressive Financial Planning or Analytical roles
- Global consumer goods or manufacturing experience required
- Strong financial acumen, robust analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills
- Dynamic, pro-active and enthusiastic leader with the financial and interpersonal skills that will allow him/her credibility across the business
- Strong leadership capabilities and communications skills; an ability to work with and influence a variety of different positions within an organization
- Strong verbal and written skills as well as the ability to effectively present financial data to senior management and business partners
- Advanced Excel and data warehouse mining experience. SAP & BPC experience a plus
