Senior Manager, Forward Deployed Research

About the role

This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will partner with business, technical, and operational stakeholders to build reporting, surface trends, and translate analysis into action to strengthen data-driven execution and help teams focus on the metrics that matter most within a technology-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Own and define the system for measuring data performance and model benchmarking
• Recruit and develop a team of engineers and researchers, functioning as a player-coach
• Establish the methodology for consistent benchmarking and tuning processes
• Convert benchmark results into actionable intelligence for strategic decision-making
• Tune models to showcase data effectiveness and contribute to presales documentation
• Collaborate across teams to drive forward initiatives that enhance business opportunities
• Serve as a technical authority on evaluation and benchmark rigor

Qualifications

• 8+ years in applied ML or model evaluation with a focus on building systems
• Strong software engineering skills with experience in data pipelines and automation
• Deep understanding of model evaluation methodologies and benchmarking techniques
• Familiarity with frontier AI concepts like LLMs and post-training techniques
• Experience in leading and developing technical teams in a hands-on capacity
• Ability to translate complex technical insights for diverse audiences
• M.S. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related field

Pay

$185,000 – $321,600 annually
