For our client, a leader in the healthcare space, we are seeking a Senior Manager of Firmware Engineering to lead technical initiatives focused on scalable systems, platform reliability, and meaningful business transformation.

You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a healthcare environment.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of firmware engineers, promoting high performance and accountability
- Own project execution, setting goals and managing timelines for multiple concurrent firmware initiatives
- Guide technical decisions through architecture discussions and hands-on support in embedded systems
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering teams to align on product requirements and development processes
- Oversee firmware development and documentation compliance with industry standards
- Evaluate and prioritize development requests, balancing new projects and sustaining engineering efforts
- Enhance team effectiveness by streamlining workflows, tools, and processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- 2+ years of experience managing firmware or embedded software engineers
- 3+ years of hands-on firmware development in resource-constrained, embedded systems (bare-metal preferred)
- Experience in a regulated industry, preferably medical devices
- Familiarity with IEC 62304 and ISO 13485 development standards
- Proficient in C for embedded systems
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Pay
$166,000 – $216,000 annually
