Senior Manager, Financial Reporting

About The Role

Reporting directly to the Financial Reporting Director, this position is a people management role within our Financial Reporting function. You will collaborate across our accounting, finance, and legal organizations to guarantee the timely and accurate execution of critical reporting activities. The ideal candidate brings a robust background in technical accounting, an advanced understanding of GAAP and SEC regulations, and exceptional leadership skills.

What You'll Do

• Lead the preparation and review of periodic financial statements, critical SEC filings, and internal management reporting packages.
• Collaborate across the organization by engaging directly with the finance leadership team and partnering strategically with the M&A, Finance, and Technical Accounting teams on high-impact initiatives.
• Mentor and train junior team members and educate cross-functional stakeholders on SEC reporting and complex disclosure requirements.
• Drive process optimization and automation while strengthening internal accounting controls and efficiencies.
• Evaluate AI-generated outputs by applying sound professional judgment, ensuring all conclusions strictly adhere to accounting standards and internal company policies.

Basic Qualifications

• 7+ years of accounting experience, including a minimum of 3+ years at a Big 4 firm.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or relevant field.
• CPA license or equivalent.

• A high attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
• A proven track record of improving processes, building scalable solutions, and simplifying complex issues.
• Deep expertise in technical accounting subject matters.
• Strong technical aptitude with different databases and applications, specifically including experience with Oracle, HFM, and SmartView.
• A curiosity, along with the ability to spot issues, get to the heart of a matter, and articulate plans to address them.
• Strong interpersonal skills and highly collaborative with a proven ability to build relationships, gain credibility and trust, and partner across functions to drive impact.

Pay

The base salary range for this role is USD $182,000 per year - USD $202,000 per year. You will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of compensation. All full-time employees are eligible to participate in a 401(k) plan. You will also be eligible for various benefits.

Schedule

Unless approved for full remote work, employees must spend at least 50% of their time in-office. Some roles, like those at greenlight hubs, require full-time in-office presence.
