Pay Range
The pay range for this position is $145,000 to $180,000 per year. The actual base salary offered will be determined by the applicant's prior experience and competence, and will comply with state or local minimum wage requirements.

Summary
Meitheal Pharmaceuticals is seeking a highly motivated and strategic Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to support the company's financial planning, forecasting, business performance management, and strategic decision-making. This role requires strong financial acumen, pharmaceutical industry experience, analytical rigor, and the ability to influence stakeholders across the organization.
Essential Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Forecasting:
- Lead the annual budgeting process, long-range planning, and monthly forecasting activities.
- Develop and maintain financial models that support revenue, gross margin, operating expense, and cash flow forecasting.
- Drive monthly and quarterly financial reviews, identifying key variances, risks, and opportunities.
- Provide leadership with actionable recommendations to achieve financial and operational objectives.
Business Performance Management:
- Monitor and analyze business performance against budget, forecast, and strategic targets.
- Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and management dashboards.
- Partner with functional leaders to identify cost-saving initiatives and improve operational efficiency.
- Analyze product, customer, and portfolio profitability to support resource allocation decisions.
Commercial and Portfolio Finance Support:
- Support forecasting and performance analysis of the company's generic injectable and specialty pharmaceutical portfolio.
- Partner with Commercial leadership to evaluate pricing, market share trends, competitive dynamics, and product launch opportunities.
- Provide financial assessments for new product opportunities, lifecycle management initiatives, and business development activities.
- Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity modeling to support strategic decisions.
Strategic Finance:
- Lead financial evaluations of strategic initiatives, including licensing opportunities, partnerships, acquisitions, and investments.
- Develop business cases, ROI analyses, and NPV models to support executive decision-making.
- Collaborate with senior leadership on long-term growth strategies and portfolio optimization.
Reporting & Executive Communication:
- Prepare monthly management reporting packages and executive presentations.
- Present financial results, forecasts, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
- Ensure clear communication of complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Support Board of Directors and investor-related reporting as required.
Process Improvement & Systems:
- Drive continuous improvement of FP&A processes, reporting automation, and forecasting methodologies.
- Partner with IT and Finance teams to enhance financial planning tools and reporting capabilities.
- Improve data integrity, reporting accuracy, and financial governance.
- Support implementation and optimization of ERP, planning, and business intelligence systems.
Leadership:
- Mentor and develop members of the FP&A team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Serve as a trusted finance business partner across the organization.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of progressive finance experience, including FP&A leadership responsibilities.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience within pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, healthcare, or life sciences preferred.
- Demonstrated success partnering with senior executives and cross-functional leadership teams.
- Advanced financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting expertise.
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical industry economics, pricing, and product lifecycle dynamics.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar).
- Experience with planning and reporting tools such as Adaptive Planning, Anaplan, Hyperion, Power BI, or Tableau preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required.
- MBA, CPA, CFA, or other advanced financial certification preferred.
