Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis
Position Overview
The Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis will support and interface with corporate and business leaders on financial needs, specifically supporting Workers Compensation, Captives, Shared Risk Casualty, and E&S Casualty. This includes creating qualitative and quantitative analyses to enable leaders to make data-driven decisions.
Primary Responsibilities
Develop and lead the budget, forecasting, and reporting for corporate functions.
Manage and monitor income statements and consolidations for supported businesses and corporate functions.
Drive actionable information and advice to corporate and business teams.
Evaluate financial outcomes of various decision alternatives; provide management with information on potential decision impacts along with recommended options and action plans.
Advises on key business planning assumptions, identifies, and quantifies risks, and/or opportunities.
Translate content needed for senior level presentations; ensure content provided meets requirements; assist in preparation of presentations for senior management.
Develop ad-hoc analyses and financial modeling support to the corporate function and business leaders.
Moves forward projects/improvements that need leadership and support.
Supports management roll forward reporting/management operating report process.
Oversees close review for corporate functions.
Enhances management information.
Serves as an FP&A contact for the FP&A function as it pertains to Adaptive Planning support, issue resolution, and the expense allocation process.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in finance or related fields (strongly preferred).
A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in accounting roles; P&C insurance and Workers Compensation/Captives experience preferred.
Strong financial acumen including thorough understanding of statutory financial reporting requirements, preferably specific to P&C insurance.
Strong knowledge of Excel including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs and formulas.
Strong knowledge of financial statements (income statements, balance sheets, and cash flows).
Ability to work through shifting priorities and deadlines.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to prioritize responsibilities, manage time and resources effectively.
