Job Responsibilities
- Establish and manage financial planning cycles, including annual budgets, monthly/quarterly forecasts, and financial reviews.
- Model and analyze key strategic drivers to influence long-term financial planning for data center development and operations.
- Provide in-depth financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend monitoring, and benchmarking, to deliver actionable insights.
- Forecast and optimize data center-related costs, ensuring financial efficiency and strategic cost management.
- Serve as the finance owner for all data center (DC) infrastructure forecasting and planning.
- Collaborate with Engineering and DC Operations teams to track, report, and forecast infrastructure-related KPIs.
- Partner with Design, Engineering, Construction, and Procurement teams to establish cost benchmarks and schedule delivery metrics.
- Support procurement and vendor negotiations with financial analysis and benchmarking data to optimize costs.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive process improvements to enhance financial efficiency and project execution.
- Create and maintain financial reports and dashboards using NetSuite, Excel, and BI tools to support executive decision-making.
- Leverage ERP and financial data to provide actionable insights that enhance business performance.
- Prepare and present financial reports, KPIs, and dashboards to finance leadership and executive teams.
- Work with the Accounting team to improve accounting and reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Develop financial models to evaluate ROI, NPV, and IRR for data center investments and strategic initiatives.
- Create business cases for capital allocation and expansion, ensuring optimal use of capital resources.
- Aid in customer contract negotiations by analyzing and presenting cost structures and benchmarks.
- Continuously improve financial processes, driving automation, efficiency, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Ensure alignment between financial planning, operational goals, and company milestones.
- Collaborate with the SVP and Director of Finance to develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company’s long-term vision.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
- Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in Finance, including at least the last 3 years within the data center industry.
- Proven expertise in financial planning, analysis, and capital allocation, with a strong understanding of large-scale infrastructure investments.
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and reporting tools, including Excel, ERP systems, and business intelligence tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into strategic business insights.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and executive leadership.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, with a proactive approach to process improvement and automation.
Pay
Annual Compensation Range: $150,000 - $180,000 Base Salary + Discretionary Bonus
