Senior Manager, External Reporting
Responsibilities
- Lead preparation and filing of SEC reports (10-Q, 10-K, 8-K), including financial statements, footnote disclosures, and MD&A
- Manage the external reporting calendar and coordinate cross-functional inputs to meet deadlines
- Support quarterly earnings releases, investor decks, and other external communications
- Aid in proxy statement preparation, including all calculations presented in the Compensation Discussion & Analysis disclosures
- Support technical accounting research for significant or non-routine transactions
- Oversee compensation accounting, including stock-based compensation, incentive programs, and payroll accruals
- Develop and maintain appropriate internal controls as business process owner, with documentation supporting Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance
- Identify and drive process improvements, including automation and workflow enhancements
- Partner with external auditors and support preparation of disclosure and audit committee presentations
- Collaborate with Accounting, Legal, Tax, Treasury, Finance, and HR to ensure accurate disclosures
- Lead, mentor, and develop team members
- Support special projects and other external reporting initiatives as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Accounting preferred
- CPA required
- 7+ years of experience in public accounting and/or industry
- Strong expertise in U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, and SOX compliance
- Global clinical and commercial biotech experience preferred
- SAP experience preferred
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated sound judgment and discretion with sensitive information
Pay
$139,400.00 - $188,600.00
The pay range reflects the full-time base salary range we expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. Base pay will be determined based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, and education.
About the Role
This position reports to the Assistant Controller and works closely with Legal, Tax, Treasury, Finance, and Human Resources. This position is hybrid and will be primarily located in Cambridge, MA.
