About the role
The Senior Manager, Event Content Strategy and Delivery leads the end-to-end content experience for Autodesk University (AU), shaping content journeys across Autodesk’s broader event portfolio. This role requires deep expertise in content strategy, session design, and audience journey mapping, with a proven track record of delivering against business outcomes.
Responsibilities
Own AU Content Strategy
Lead the end-to-end content strategy and execution for AU session programming (breakouts, labs, panels, and expo theaters)
Define and evolve the content architecture and audience journey, ensuring relevance across industries, personas, and experience levels
Develop content pillars and messaging frameworks aligned to Autodesk’s strategic priorities and influence cross-functional stakeholders
Drive session and instructional design, including format innovation, topic selection, and content balance across tracks
Define content investment strategy and make prioritization decisions across competing stakeholder needs and business objectives
Lead the Content Planning Lifecycle
Own the Call for Proposals (CFP) strategy, taxonomy, and session evaluation process
Make tradeoff decisions across submissions, balancing stakeholder priorities, audience needs, and business objectives
Define and drive content governance, content production timelines, and workflows from concept through delivery
Ensure content quality through structured review cycles, speaker enablement, and narrative alignment
Define criteria for content selection aligned to business impact, audience value, and strategic priorities
Drive Cross-Functional Alignment & Influence
Advise and influence senior leaders on content strategy, session design, and audience engagement
Influence decision-making on content investments, prioritization, and resource allocation
Navigate complex organizational dynamics to drive alignment and execution at scale
Elevate Content Experience & Innovation
Define and evolve best-in-class content experiences for Autodesk’s flagship events
Develop innovative session formats and engagement models (interactive, demo-driven, broadcast-inspired, etc.)
Leverage data and insights to continuously improve content performance, relevance, and attendee satisfaction
Anticipate industry trends and evolving audience expectations to keep Autodesk’s events best-in-class
Position Autodesk’s flagship events as leaders in content innovation within the industry
Requirements
7–10+ years of experience designing and delivering content experiences for large-scale, enterprise-level conferences or events
Proven track record of owning complex content strategy and delivering against business outcomes
Deep expertise in content strategy, session design, and audience journey mapping
Strong executive presence with the ability to advise and influence senior leaders and stakeholders
Exceptional cross-functional leadership skills—comfortable driving alignment without direct authority
Experience working across Product Marketing, Communications, and Event Production teams
Highly strategic thinker with the ability to translate business objectives into compelling content experiences
Data-informed and outcomes-driven, with a focus on measurable impact and continuous improvement
Qualifications
Experience with large-scale flagship events (e.g., 5,000+ attendees; global audience)
Familiarity with CFP platforms, session management tools, or event technology ecosystems (e.g., RainFocus)
Background in technical, industry, or product-driven content environments
Experience designing hybrid or digital event experiences

Autodesk offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health and financial benefits, time away, and everyday wellness programs. For U.S.-based roles, the starting base salary ranges from $124,000 to $221,430, with offers based on experience and geographic location. Additional compensation includes annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a benefits package.
