Position Overview

This role can be based remotely. The Senior Manager, EHS Quality Assurance, Global is responsible for ensuring that Vantage's global EHS standards translate into consistent, effective execution across all business lines. This role partners with Standards & Governance to develop clear, practical, and measurable program requirements, while leading a unified global assurance framework that evaluates how those requirements are implemented at the site level. Through audits, assessments, and performance analysis, the role provides an objective view of how the system is performing in practice and where gaps exist. Operating within a global, matrixed environment, the Senior Manager must effectively engage with regional EHS teams, business leadership, and cross-functional partners to drive alignment, influence outcomes, and ensure that assurance activities are viewed as a mechanism of improvement.

Essential Job Functions

  • Partner with Standards & Governance to develop, standardize, and maintain global EHS program documents.
  • Operationalize global standards into field-executable, risk-based program requirements and controls.
  • Engage with Regional and Local EHS leaders in order to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and needs within the program.
  • Lead efforts to define or create programmatic solutions through collaborative workgroups or self-development.
  • Ensure alignment with the Global EHS Management System, including risk-based approaches and high-risk activity focus.
  • Establish clear performance criteria, controls, and verification mechanisms across all programs.
  • Drive consistency across regions while allowing for regulatory and operational flexibility.
  • Own and execute an enterprise EHS assurance strategy, including standardized audit frameworks, scoring models, and performance benchmarks.
  • Integrate and rationalize existing assessment mechanisms, linking program requirements to measurable performance metrics.
  • Define standard methodologies, scoring models, and minimum acceptance criteria.
  • Ensure audits effectively validate system implementation, legal/regulatory compliance, Vantage program requirements, and continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Build a single, enterprise view of EHS performance and risk.
  • Establish assessment outputs that clearly link to leading indicators (preventative actions) and lagging indicators (outcomes).
  • Collaborate with Data Analytics teams to develop dashboards and performance monitoring platforms for transparent performance analysis.
  • Monitor and empower the closure of audit findings and corrective actions with local teams, as well as corporate or business teams.
  • Identify systemic trends and translate EHS performance data into actionable insights for business leaders.
  • Lead efforts to incorporate assessment insights into standards, training, and operational execution.
  • Lead complex, cross-functional EHS initiatives in a matrix environment.
  • Support alignment across global and regional teams to ensure consistent program execution.
  • Maintain oversight of priorities, timelines, and deliverables across key initiatives.
  • Provide input and support on team operations and execution as needed.
  • Represent EHS programs effectively in leadership and operational forums.
  • Drive adoption of programs and assessment frameworks through clear communications and positioning as an enabler, not enforcement.
  • Lead development of critical control verification strategies (e.g., HRA / SIF prevention focus).
  • Partner on post-incident reviews (not leading investigations).
  • Support rollout of key initiatives such as new technology or program launches.
  • Handle additional duties as assigned by Management.

Success in this role looks like
