What you will do: As the Senior Manager, Environmental Health and Safety you will be responsible for managing the reliable delivery of Stryker Employee Health and Safety strategy. You will execute Global Quality Operations (GQO) level strategy for EHS to drive strategy and creativity in site level initiatives. You will serve as a partner to the Business and key member of the plant leadership team Additional responsibilities: Develop and manage strategy, scope, schedule, costs, resources, and risksBe responsible for the coordination of stakeholders and management of the resources necessary to achieve itServe as the employee health & safety advisor supporting division manufacturing partnersBe accountable for employee health & safety compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and lawsManage the employee health & safety team and people processes and develop/maintain a culture of performance, accountability and positive engagementPartner with regional leadership to develop the employee health & safety strategy in line with regulatory requirements, business needs and continuous improvement goalsEnsure metrics and reports to both internal and external stakeholders are deliveredOversee the Emergency Response Program ensuring adequate assessments, resources and training are in place to respond to emergency scenariosEnsure employee health & safety incident investigation process identifies root cause and monitors emerging trendsProvide an effective management of change process with respect to the employee health & safety impact of changes to process, plant, equipment, capital projects etc.Promote effective risk assessment and risk reduction programs for the region and appraises leadership of the status of same at regular intervalsEstimate annual EH&S expenditures and contributes projection information for annual budgetContribute employee health & safety information towards relevant Capital Expenditure RequestsCollaborate with corporate departments including Corporate Social Responsibility and Risk Management GroupsEstablish priorities, using project management tools support the delivery of new products per cost and time commitCoach and develop the performance and career objectives of support staff in the EHS TeamPartner with Business Unit Leaders to contribute to improvement in all aspects of production and material throughout the plantBe responsible for the oversight of onsite security, including site access control, visitor and contractor management, security service providers, incident response, and the protection of employees, facilities and company assets. Partner with site leadership, Human Resources, Facilities and Corporate Security to assess and mitigate site security risks.
