Who You Are:

The Senior Manager, Demand Planning is a high-impact planning leader responsible for translating portfolio growth assumptions, design evolution, and execution realities into accurate, decision-ready equipment demand signals. This role owns a defined scope within the demand planning function and helps ensure that category-level demand is structured, credible, and aligned to enterprise priorities across a complex, multi-year development portfolio.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead demand planning execution for an assigned equipment category and subset of development opportunities within the Integrated Business Planning framework, translating portfolio growth assumptions, planning priorities, design standards, and project phasing into accurate, actionable demand signals.
  • Own the integrity, structure, and lifecycle management of category-level demand data, ensuring a reliable source of truth that informs capital planning decisions, procurement readiness, installation sequencing, and commissioning execution.
  • Partner closely with capital planning, engineering, portfolio planning, supply chain, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure demand signals remain aligned to approved investment priorities, execution realities, and evolving business requirements.
  • Own scenario-based capital deployment analysis and the resulting scenario outputs used for executive decision-making, leading cross-portfolio tradeoff discussions across growth, capacity, liquidity, and risk.
  • Partner with the Director, Demand Planning to operationalize functional priorities, elevate structural risks, and provide decision-ready recommendations on demand conflicts, tradeoffs, and portfolio escalations.
  • Build visibility into demand volume, timing, variability, and constraint exposure across assigned categories and subset of development opportunities, enabling proactive identification and mitigation of supply, schedule, capital, and execution risks.
  • Ensure disciplined adherence to Integrated Business Planning processes, governance standards, and data definitions while reinforcing connectivity between demand planning, capital planning, portfolio planning, and project controls.
  • Support risk-informed decision-making by surfacing emerging demand misalignments, supply constraints, and execution exposures early enough to influence mitigation plans, investment sequencing, and delivery strategies.
  • Support commissioning and turnover readiness by ensuring equipment demand, procurement status, and installation data are accurately connected to downstream execution, validation, and operational handoff workflows.
  • Continuously improve category planning performance through stronger data quality, tighter process control, and sharper integration across portfolio planning, demand planning, capital planning, supply strategy, risk management, and project execution.

What You Will Need to Be Successful:

  • 10+ years of experience in demand planning, capital planning, engineering, supply chain, project controls, construction, or large-scale capital project execution within complex, fast-paced environments.
  • A strong understanding of how design evolution, phasing strategy, and site-specific conditions translate into equipment demand, procurement requirements, capital implications, and delivery readiness.
  • Proven ability to manage complex, high-volume data inputs across multiple systems and stakeholders while maintaining planning accuracy, control, and decision-usefulness.
  • Experience working across capital planning, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and portfolio or program leadership in a capital-intensive environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, assess, and escalate planning, supply, capital, and execution risks with clear recommendations and strong executive judgment.
  • Strong cross-functional influence skills, with the ability to align diverse stakeholders, challenge assumptions, and drive disciplined decision-making without relying on formal authority.
  • Ability to operate fluently at both the detailed equipment level and the portfolio impact level, connecting technical planning decisions to capital deployment, schedule confidence, and business outcomes.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, supply chain, business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

Nice to Have:

  • Data center or large-scale infrastructure development experience.
  • Experience leading teams or building team capability within a growing or evolving function.
  • Experience operating within an Integrated Business Planning framework or similarly mature model that connects demand, capital, supply, and execution.
  • Familiarity with design standards, equipment specifications, and engineering-driven demand generation.
  • Experience interfacing with supply chain planning, procurement, or vendor management teams.
  • Experience integrating demand signals with supply constraints and execution timelines.
  • Exposure to commissioning processes, systems, or turnover workflows.
  • Familiarity with planning platforms and integrated system environments.

Other Key Skills:

  • A strong ownership mindset with high accountability, follow-through, and sound judgment in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Systems thinking across capital planning, design, demand definition, procurement, risk, and execution domains.
  • The ability to challenge assumptions, synthesize complex inputs, and drive disciplined, fact-based decision-making across functions.
  • Strong cross-functional influence, facilitation, and communication skills, with the ability to align stakeholders around priorities, tradeoffs, and risk.
