Senior Manager - Data Quality and Metadata Management
About the role
The Senior Manager, Data Quality and Metadata Management leads enterprise-wide data governance initiatives across Data Quality, Metadata Management, and Critical Data Elements (CDEs) in alignment with the Enterprise Data Strategy. This role drives data management practices within a highly regulated banking environment, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and interactions with regulatory organizations. The leader partners across business, risk, legal, and technology teams to establish strong data controls, oversee metadata and governance platforms such as Collibra, and improve data quality outcomes that support critical business and regulatory reporting. Success in this role requires hands-on leadership, strong banking risk and governance expertise, exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to provide clear direction, develop teams, and elevate data management capabilities through strategic execution. Reports To: Director and above. Direct Reports: 6 - 10. Work Environment: Normal office environment. (Remote or Hybrid), 3 to 4 days per month are required in office if within 60 miles of a posted Bread Financial location. Travel: Ability to travel up to 10% annually.
