Senior Manager, Curriculum and Instruction (Grant Funded)

Weekly work hours: 40. Compensation range: $77,200.00 annually (minimum). This is an exempt, on-site staff position. After six months of employment, some positions may be eligible to apply for a hybrid work arrangement based on job responsibilities, operational needs, supervisor approval, and Dallas College policy. Academic (Faculty) positions require an on-campus presence, even when teaching online courses, in accordance with state law. This position is funded by external grant resources; employment is contingent upon the availability of funding and program needs.

About the role

The Senior Manager of Curriculum and Instruction, Case Management Studio, provides curriculum development, instructional design strategies, training evaluation and assessment, and distributed learning materials for Dallas College’s Case Management Studio, an innovative world-class training center for case managers, success coaches, care navigators, and other professionals. The Case Management Studio will train participants in the foundations of Case Management, social services, and support navigation. Trainings will be research-informed and implemented with high quality and fidelity.

Responsibilities

• Works collaboratively with Executive Director and across the student success division to determine instructional needs, provide expertise and assistance with innovative strategies to meet those needs, and supports course development.
• Manages systems to recruit and track attendee participation.
• Develops survey and feedback structures to analyze the effectiveness of training sessions and adjust as needed.
• Builds relationships with Dallas College staff and uses excellent communication skills to present written and oral messages that take into account the type of information being delivered and the diverse backgrounds, roles, and varied responsibilities of the audience.
• Keeps abreast of emerging technologies and how they can be used to improve the instructional experience.
• Researches, collects, and analyzes data to make informed decisions.
• Completes required Dallas College Professional Development training hours per academic year.
• Performs other duties as assigned on a regular or occasional basis to respond to the needs of the institution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in education, social work, counseling, higher education, or related field and a minimum of four (4) years work-related experience. Official transcripts are required.
• Two (2) years' experience in instructional design and development or leading and facilitating training for a diverse audience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint) and learning management systems.
• Current and valid Texas driver’s license.
• Bilingual or multilingual skills preferred.
• Subject to a criminal background check; some positions may be subject to a fingerprint check.

• Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, instructional design methods, and adult learning theory.
• Working knowledge of case management principles and social work theory.
• Highly creative and innovative in creating training courses, learning modules, presentation aids, and videos.
• Ability to identify needs, organize complex information, and transform it into engaging and effective training materials.
• Understands how to use data and technology to develop informative training solutions.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects, assignments, and deliverables.
• Maintains an understanding of learning principles and the ability to apply them to the development and delivery of learning experiences.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with experience using multiple forms of training.
• Uses problem-solving skills, analyzing issues and working collaboratively with colleagues to resolve them and implement new solutions.

Schedule

Primary assigned campus is Eastfield. This role requires occasional travel to meetings and events at other locations. Successful candidate will need to have the ability to work extended hours beyond the regular 8:00am to 5:00pm workday schedule during heavy registration peak times, including occasional nights and weekends.

Pay

Salary minimum: $77,200.00 annually.
