Senior Manager, Corporate Real Estate
About the role
Compass is seeking a strategic, high-performing Senior Manager of Corporate Real Estate Transactions to oversee and optimize a dynamic segment of our 1,000+ location national office portfolio. This role acts as a critical business partner, working alongside regional leaders to ensure our physical workplace strategy accelerates agent success while aligning with corporate financial goals.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end transactional lifecycle, including site identification, LOI drafting, and final lease negotiation for new locations, renewals, expansions, and downsizings.
Conduct detailed financial analyses, creating comparative lease models and business cases to present to executive leadership.
Proactively identify opportunities for rent reduction, space optimization, and strategic relocations to maximize cost efficiencies.
Maintain absolute oversight of the portfolio timeline, ensuring options (renewal, termination, contraction) are executed strategically and well ahead of deadlines.
Partner seamlessly with internal Legal, Finance, Workplace Design, and Construction teams, as well as external broker networks, to drive project delivery on time and within budget.
Build strong consensus and alignment with regional presidents and business leaders, translating complex real estate data into clear, actionable executive presentations.
What We're Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
5–7 years of corporate commercial real estate experience, with a heavy emphasis on multi-location office or retail portfolios.
Demonstrated expertise in independently negotiating commercial leases, amendments, and complex legal provisions.
Strong financial acumen with deep experience in commercial lease economics, both operating and capital costs.
Deep familiarity with West Coast/California commercial real estate markets is highly preferred.
Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills; comfortable navigating a collaborative, fast-paced corporate culture.
Willingness to travel as required by portfolio needs.
Compensation
The base pay range for this position is $165,000-$185,000. Bonuses and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of benefits.
