About the Role

Avalara is an industry-leading provider of cloud-based tax compliance automation. As the Sr. Manager, Corporate Programs, you will manage the strategic planning and execution of Avalara's employee programs, including RevKO, CLUB, and corporate awards. You will help create recognition experiences that celebrate the talent driving our success story and ensure these programs promote our values, strengthen our culture, and grow employee engagement across the organization. This is a remote position within the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Lead program strategy by developing and executing the long-term vision and strategy for RevKO, CLUB, and company awards programs, ensuring alignment with company values, priorities, and employee experience goals.
  • Oversee the end-to-end planning and delivery of corporate programs, including managing timelines, budgets, communications, nominations, selection processes, and events, while establishing governance for fairness and transparency.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to identify opportunities to recognize performance, working with the Chief Sales Officer and Sales Chief of Staff for RevKO, and with external partners for the CLUB recognition program.
  • Manage two team members (US and India), fostering a collaborative environment with clear goals and accountability.
  • Manage annual program budgets, forecasting, and vendor relationships, while developing reporting to measure program outcomes and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and scalability.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness through metrics and leadership feedback, making enhancements to increase engagement and inclusivity.
  • Apply AI automation to improve efficiency and scale program infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of experience leading employee engagement, recognition, events, corporate programs, or related functions.
  • 3+ years of people management experience.
  • Experience managing large-scale, high-visibility programs with executives.
  • Experience with project management, budgeting, and operational planning.
  • Experience managing end-to-end employee recognition or incentive programs in a high-growth technology company.
  • Experience using AI and AI-related technologies to improve efficiency, contribute solutions, and drive results.
  • Willingness to embrace and grow with AI, staying curious about new trends and best practices.

Pay

The base pay range varies by location:

  • Colorado: $136,400 - $225,000 (annually)
  • Washington: $136,400 - $248,600 (annually)
  • California: $136,400 - $272,500 (annually)
  • New York City: $165,100 - $272,500 (annually)

The successful candidate’s actual salary/wage may be based on factors such as geographic location, candidate experience, qualifications, market, and business considerations.
