WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Support and report to the Senior Group Manager, Corporate Planning in advancing HMNA’s mid-to-long-term business planning, corporate strategy, and cross-functional strategic initiatives.
  • Translate market trends, strategic initiatives, and executive vision into actionable business insights and all corporate planning activities to ensure Hyundai and Genesis Motor North America achieve short- and long-term objectives.
  • Provide analysis and project management support to help ensure key initiatives are developed, aligned, and executed effectively across relevant stakeholders.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Perform detailed analysis, research, and coordination to support annual, mid-term, and long-term corporate planning activities, aligning priorities across business units, regions, and global headquarters.
  • Develop and maintain planning inputs, assumptions, scenario models, KPI materials, investment prioritization analyses, forecasting, and related planning processes.
  • Work with regional and functional teams to gather data, validate assumptions, reconcile inputs, track deliverables, and translate priorities into consolidated planning materials.
  • Execute Corporate Planning initiatives, including process mapping, issue identification, timeline tracking, stakeholder follow-up, documentation, and implementation support.
  • Conduct market, operational, and financial analysis to support Hyundai and Genesis initiatives, competitive strategies, and resource allocation efforts.
  • Manage multiple strategic workstreams by organizing project plans, tracking milestones, monitoring risks, and ensuring timely completion of deliverables.
  • Serve as a liaison across functions and regions, including the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, to gather inputs, resolve open items, and maintain alignment.
  • Cook up with stakeholders to prepare meeting materials, capture decisions, follow up on action items, and support initiative execution.
  • Research and analyze automotive trends, emerging technologies, regulatory developments, consumer shifts, and competitor activity.
  • Develop research summaries, competitive assessments, opportunity scans, and risk analyses to support planning and investment decisions.
  • Develop executive-ready analyses, strategic presentations, business cases, KPI dashboards, and briefing materials for senior leadership.
  • Independently explore strategic opportunities, manage resources, support partner outreach, develop proposals including timelines, budgets, and KPIs, and manage multiple initiatives.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE

  • High school graduate.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Master’s Degree a plus.
  • Eight or more years of OEM experience, with at least five years in a strategic or project management role desired.
  • Three or more years of experience in planning and implementing strategic initiatives and projects with outside partners is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of the Automotive industry and its inner workings (dealer relations, field responsibilities, corporate objectives, etc.).
  • Field experience is preferred.
  • Three or more years of supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical skills - use both quantitative and qualitative data to create a broad, dynamic view of the market and synthesize the underlying insights of the data.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, with the ability to influence a wide range of management levels, both inside and outside of HMA.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple simultaneous projects.
