Primary Job Responsibilities
- Lead and scale the second-line independent testing and oversight function.
- Develop and execute a risk-based annual BSA/AML testing plan aligned to regulatory expectations and internal risk assessments.
- Oversee governance framework including policy development, change management, approvals, and regulatory updates.
- Provide subject matter expertise and advisory support on BSA priorities, including Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), high-risk industry requirements, and emerging regulatory expectations.
- Manage issue identification, remediation tracking, validation, and reporting to senior management and risk committees.
- Oversee and manage India-based testing resources to ensure consistent methodology, quality control, and defensible documentation standards.
- Support external audits, sponsor bank reviews, due diligence requests, and regulatory examinations.
- Develop and maintain metrics, dashboards, and KPIs to monitor effectiveness of the BSA/AML control environment.
- Partner cross-functionally with Product, Risk, Operations, Compliance, and Legal to provide governance oversight and ensure regulatory alignment.
- Coordinate with business teams to obtain data, documentation, and evidence necessary for testing and internal control reviews.
- Identify control gaps, recommend enhancements, and support scalable compliance program improvements as Bluevine grows.
Skills and Experience
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in BSA/AML compliance, governance, risk oversight, or independent testing within a banking or fintech environment.
- Demonstrated experience building or managing independent testing or quality assurance programs.
- Experience supporting regulatory exams, external audits, and sponsor bank oversight.
- Prior managerial experience, including oversight of distributed or offshore teams preferred.
- Strong understanding of compliance governance frameworks, issue management, and policy lifecycle management.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess complex regulatory requirements.
- Proven ability to operate independently and thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing materials for senior leadership or board-level reporting.
New Hire Base Salary Range
$163,500 - $200,300
This role is also eligible to earn annual performance-based incentive compensation in the form of a cash bonus.
