About the role
The Senior Manager of Commercial Development is responsible for driving the near-term commercial execution roadmap for Motional, focusing on market entry and translating market insights into product and development strategies.

Requirements
- Experience: 5+ years in commercial operations, strategy, GTM execution or product development, or growth roles—ideally within autonomous vehicles, mobility, deep tech, or scaling complex hardware/software ecosystems.
- Mindset: Deeply customer-obsessed and execution-oriented; you view technology as a vehicle to deliver an unparalleled human experience and drive measurable revenue.
- Skillset: Highly analytical with the ability to build financial and commercial models, combined with the operational grit to get your hands dirty in actual deployment execution.
- Translation Ability: Exceptional capability to operate fluidly between deeply technical engineering teams and high-level commercial partners, translating market needs into technical requirements and vice versa.
- Execution Focus: A proven track record of managing 1-to-3-year roadmaps, anticipating operational bottlenecks, and proactively implementing solutions to keep growth on track.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
- Professional Certifications: Preferred certifications in automotive engineering, business analytics, or similar fields.

Pay
The estimated compensation range for this role is $140,000 USD - $187,250 USD.
Schedule
This role is based in our Boston, Pittsburgh, or Las Vegas office and requires in-office days each week.
