Senior Manager - Commercial Analytics
Job Summary
Sun is seeking a Senior Manager within its Commercial Operations team in Princeton, NJ. The Senior Manager will report into Senior Director, Commercial Operations and will have pharma analytics expertise, experience in brand forecasting models, sales operations and IC, along with the ability to manage offshore analysts effectively. This is a hybrid role based in Princeton, NJ, requiring in-office presence three days per week.
Responsibilities
- Support brand teams in refining forecasting models by integrating patient-level insights and market trends.
- Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity modeling to assess potential risks and opportunities.
- Work with marketing teams to evaluate campaign effectiveness and optimize promotional efforts.
- Assess the impact of pricing, reimbursement, and formulary changes on brand performance.
- Analyze longitudinal patient-level data (prescription, claims, hub, specialty pharmacy) to identify trends in patient journey, adherence, persistency, and therapy switching.
- Evaluate new patient starts, discontinuation rates, and conversion trends to assess market penetration.
- Design, implement, and administer IC plans, sales contests, and Circle of Excellence programs to drive sales effectiveness.
- Support territory alignment, call planning, and rep targeting by leveraging data-driven insights.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Data Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical commercial analytics, sales operations, or incentive compensation.
- Proficiency in SQL, Excel, Alteryx, and Tableau (or similar BI tools).
- Strong knowledge of patient-level data analytics, including claims, hub, and specialty pharmacy datasets.
- Understanding of pharma brand forecasting models and key commercial analytics techniques.
- Knowledge of Incentive Compensation, CRM systems (e.g., Veeva, Salesforce) and sales operations processes.
- Proven ability to manage offshore teams and coordinate analytics projects across stakeholders.
Pay
The presently-anticipated base compensation pay range for this position is $128,000 to $156,500. Actual base compensation may vary based on a number of factors, including but not limited to geographical location and experience.
