About the Opportunity

The SENIOR MANAGER, COLLABORATION PLATFORM ENGINEERING will lead the collaboration and productivity platform capabilities as the company expands globally. This role is responsible for shaping platform strategy, automation, governance, and adoption of tools like Google Workspace, Slack, Atlassian, Notion, and approved AI productivity tools. The position involves leading a team to build secure, scalable, and AI-enabled collaboration platforms that enhance communication, knowledge sharing, and work efficiency.

Responsibilities

Define and deliver the roadmap for collaboration and productivity platforms.
Maximize business value from collaboration tools.
Establish standards for collaboration, knowledge management, workflow automation, and governance.
Rationalize overlapping tools to reduce complexity and cost.
Partner with business teams to drive platform adoption.
Manage engineering, configuration, and lifecycle of collaboration platforms.
Ensure platforms are secure, reliable, scalable, and integrated with relevant systems.
Govern admin access, configurations, integrations, and changes.
Monitor platform health, performance, licensing, and adoption metrics.
Provide escalation support for complex platform issues.
Identify and implement automation opportunities for business and technology processes.
Build and govern automations using platform-native tools and APIs.
Improve workflows related to joiner, mover, leaver, approvals, requests, reporting, and collaboration.
Use platform data to enhance reporting and operational decisions.
Promote practical automation to reduce manual work without added complexity.
Drive adoption and value from approved AI productivity tools.
Define safe and practical AI usage in collaboration and workflow automation.
Identify AI use cases to improve productivity and knowledge discovery.
Support governance, licensing, access, training, and measurement of AI tools.
Integrate AI capabilities into workflows.
Collaborate with Information Security on platform security and compliance.
Support audit preparations for SOC 2, ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials Plus, and SOX.
Manage risks related to external sharing, data retention, admin access, and integrations.
Ensure platform changes comply with change management and security review.
Maintain documentation of standards and procedures.

Requirements

Extensive experience leading collaboration, productivity, SaaS, or enterprise platform engineering teams.
Proficient with Google Workspace, Slack, Atlassian, Notion, or similar platforms.
Skilled in defining platform strategy, governance, standards, and operating models.
Proven record of delivering platform improvements that yield measurable business value.
Strong knowledge of automation, workflow design, APIs, integrations, and platform-native automation.
Experience managing security and compliance requirements.
Effective leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
Preferably experienced in fast-growing international technology, cloud, infrastructure, or AI environments.
Familiarity with Google Workspace transformations and migrations.
Knowledge of Jira Service Management, Confluence, Slack workflows, Google Apps Script, or low-code automation.
Experience with enterprise AI productivity tools governance.
Awareness of identity platforms like Okta, JumpCloud, or Entra ID.
Exposure to SOC 2, ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials Plus, or SOX compliance.
