The FOX direct-to-consumer (D2C) platform is a new initiative within Tubi Media Group, bringing FOX's content portfolio—news, sports, and entertainment—directly to consumers via an innovative subscription streaming service. This standalone venture combines entrepreneurial energy with deep media expertise to create a unified, modern viewing experience.
About The Role
We are looking for a seasoned, self-directed operator to join our team as a Senior Manager, Business Development and Partnerships, supporting FOX's Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) segment. Reporting to the Director of Business Development and Partnerships, this is a senior individual-contributor role for someone who can own strategic partner relationships end-to-end with minimal oversight. The primary focus is the strategic management and growth of existing partnerships to drive subscriber growth across distribution partners, content providers, and other high-impact channels.
Responsibilities
- Own and grow a portfolio of strategic partner relationships across OEMs, telcos, content providers, and other key verticals, serving as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor.
- Proactively manage and deepen existing partnerships, anticipating needs, resolving issues quickly, and uncovering new avenues for collaboration.
- Continuously identify, prioritize, and execute subscriber-growth initiatives within existing partnerships, including co-marketing, bundling, promotions, merchandising, and distribution expansion.
- Independently structure, negotiate, and close renewals, expansions, and new deals from diligence through execution, with minimal oversight.
- Build and lead joint business plans and quarterly business reviews (QBRs) that align partners around shared subscriber-growth goals.
- Analyze partner performance against key metrics, translate data into actionable strategy, and surface insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, analytics, and finance to launch, optimize, and scale partner programs.
- Identify and evaluate new partnership opportunities across key verticals to expand the growth pipeline.
- Develop executive-level materials, including business cases, briefing documents, partnership recaps, and presentations.
- Represent FOX externally with partners and at industry events, and stay current on streaming and digital-media trends, competitive dynamics, and best practices.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, or strategy—ideally within media, technology, or entertainment.
- Proven track record of independently managing and growing strategic partner relationships or accounts, with direct ownership of outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously as an individual contributor and drive results with little hand-holding in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
- Deep understanding of subscription business models and their key performance drivers, including funnel conversion, subscriber acquisition, churn, and customer lifetime value.
- Strong commercial instincts and negotiation experience, with the ability to structure and close deals end-to-end.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to build business cases and interpret data to inform strategy and decisions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to craft clear, compelling presentations for executive audiences.
- Highly organized, with strong project-management skills and the ability to manage multiple partner workstreams simultaneously.
- Proactive, growth-minded self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through.
- Passion for digital media and genuine curiosity about the evolving streaming landscape.
- Regular on-site attendance at the workplace a minimum of 3 days per week.
Nice to Have
- Experience leading or owning deals with enterprise-level or OEM partners.
- Prior exposure to international markets or global partnership development.
- Background in media strategic planning, finance, or consulting.
