As the Senior Manager of Biostatistics, you will be a member of cross-functional development teams, contributing to trial design, protocol development, analysis planning, interpretation of results, and preparation of regulatory submissions. You will develop collaborative relationships and work effectively with the Biostatistics Lead and other cross-functional team members.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates in the design of clinical studies, including methodology, data analysis and interpretation, and reporting of study results.
  • Authors and/or reviews protocol synopsis, protocol, statistical analysis plans, case-report forms, clinical study reports, associated publications, and other study-level specification documents with minimal supervision.
  • Performs and/or validates statistical analyses, advising ways to maximize clarity of data display.
  • Communicates results to cross-functional teams, providing data interpretation in study documents such as clinical study reports and publications.
  • Translates scientific questions into statistical terms and statistical concepts into layman terms.
  • Ensures compliance with BMS processes and SOPs, adheres to global and project standards within an indication or therapeutic area, and is responsible for the quality of deliverables.
  • Continually develops technical knowledge of statistical methodology and its appropriate application in trial design and data analysis for clear, concise, high-quality results.
  • Enhances knowledge of the drug development process, regulatory, and commercial requirements.
  • Develops and advises team members.
  • Effectively communicates the GBDS Mission and Vision to generate pride, excitement, and commitment within GBDS.

Qualifications

  • PhD with 3+ years’ experience or MS with 5+ years’ experience in statistics, biostatistics, or a related scientific field, with clinical trials, drug development, pharmaceutical industry, or healthcare experience.
  • Proficiency in scientific computing/programming (SAS, R, or Python) and implementation of advanced statistical analysis, data manipulation, graphing, and simulation.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, writing, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to learn regulatory requirements, clinical trial design, data analysis and interpretation, work successfully within cross-functional teams, organize multiple work assignments, and establish priorities.
  • Experience in standard and advanced statistical methods is preferred.
  • Good understanding of regulatory requirements and clinical trial design is preferred.

Pay

Compensation ranges for full-time employees (FTE):

  • Madison - Giralda - NJ - US: $164,110 - $198,862
  • Princeton - NJ - US: $164,110 - $198,862

The starting compensation range reflects required skills, job-related knowledge, and experience. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.

Schedule

BMS has an occupancy structure that determines where an employee is required to conduct their work. This role may be:

  • Site-essential: Requires 100% of shifts onsite at your assigned facility.
  • Site-by-design: Eligible for a hybrid work model with at least 50% onsite at your assigned facility. Onsite presence is considered an essential job function and is critical to collaboration, innovation, productivity, and a positive company culture.
