Senior Manager, AI Deployment

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Manager, AI Deployment to join the team of a leader in the Manufacturing & Automotive space. This role will shape how advanced AI models are deployed and optimized to deliver reliable inference performance in a high-impact manufacturing and automotive environment. You will own the strategy for model performance and inference quality, with a focus on turning technical analysis into measurable improvements in latency, throughput, and overall system efficiency. The position partners closely with engineering and cross-functional teams to identify bottlenecks, establish repeatable benchmarking practices, and build scalable performance monitoring capabilities. Success in this role will help ensure AI solutions perform consistently across environments and hardware configurations. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $296,300 – $453,900 annually Responsibilities Own the strategy and roadmap for AI model performance and inference quality. Establish performance budgets across key metrics, including latency and throughput. Lead investigations to identify performance bottlenecks and diagnose issues. Create repeatable benchmarking practices across different environments. Guide model optimization through architectural and scheduling changes. Develop performance dashboards and automate regression detection. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on performance initiatives. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred. 10+ years of experience in machine learning systems and related fields. 5+ years of experience in a leadership role. Experience shipping production machine-learning inference systems on hardware. Strong understanding of model performance drivers and optimization techniques. Hands-on experience with tools like PyTorch, CUDA, and TensorRT. Experience building automation for benchmarking and performance detection.
