Senior Manager, Accounting

About the role

As a Senior Manager, Accounting at ShopMy, you will play a key role in building and maintaining the financial infrastructure that supports our continued growth. You'll own the day-to-day accounting function, bring a strong audit mindset to everything you touch, and partner cross-functionally to ensure our financial data is accurate, prepared timely, and built to scale. Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day accounting operations including month-end close, reconciliations, variance explanations, and financial reporting
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial data across the business
• Bring a strong audit mindset to internal controls, compliance, and financial processes
• Research technical accounting matters, and prepare clear, well-supported memos for audit and financial reporting purposes
• Apply industry-relevant accounting knowledge to navigate the nuances of a high-growth technology and creator economy company
• Identify opportunities to improve and scale accounting systems and workflows as the business grows
• Support external audits, tax filings, and other regulatory requirements as needed

What we're looking for

• 5-8 years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong foundation in audit
• CPA license
• Deep understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards and demonstrated ability to research, analyze, and write up technical accounting positions and memos
• Familiarity with modern accounting tools and a track record of process improvement
• Industry-relevant experience in technology, e-commerce, or a high-growth startup environment preferred
• Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communicator who can translate complex financial concepts for non-finance stakeholders

Pay

In compliance with New York Pay Transparency Law, the salary range for this position is $135,000 - $155,000 USD. We note that salary information is a general guideline only; actual compensation may vary based on the scope and responsibilities of the position, relevant work experience, key skills, education, training, and business considerations. Every employee of ShopMy receives equity on top of cash compensation.
