Responsibilities
- Manage the overall month-end close functions for the RigUp group
- Lead the development of monthly close reviews in collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Supervise the Accounting team which includes review of close work and month-end analysis
- Ensure timely, accurate, and complete financial statements close, and provide insights into results to stakeholders across the company.
- Review and manage completion of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and flux analysis for all related entities and accounts
- Identify and execute team efficiencies and improvements to the close process through automation, AI, standardization, and collaboration with supporting teams
- Support internal and external audits and serve as a contact in the audit process
- Work cross-functionally with other groups and serve as their accounting partner, including FP&A, Sales, Product & Engineering and Operational leaders
- Research accounting issues for compliance with GAAP as needed
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the accounting team including setting clear goals and expectations for team members, conducting performance evaluations, and providing feedback
- Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment to maximize team productivity and morale
- Identify training and development opportunities to enhance the skills and capabilities of the accounting team
Requirements
- 7+ years of relevant experience in the field of Accounting, including period close, financial reporting and audit experience
- Experience in working with operational teams
- 4+ years of people management including team management and development
- Certified Public Accountant
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work in an extremely fast-paced environment

Pay
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
Schedule
The role is hybrid and requires working from the downtown Austin office three days per week.
