Senior Manager, Accounting Advisory - Nonprofit Industry Clients

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Manager, Accounting Advisory - Nonprofit Industry Clients to join the team of a leader in the Legal & Accounting space. This role will lead high-impact advisory engagements for nonprofit clients, serving as a trusted financial partner to executive teams. The position blends technical accounting expertise with strategic guidance, helping organizations strengthen financial operations, improve decision-making, and navigate complex reporting requirements. You will also drive process improvement, support change management, and collaborate across internal teams to deliver integrated solutions. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $145,000 – $195,000 annually Responsibilities Lead client advisory engagements at a CFO-level, delivering strategic financial insights and operational guidance Drive change management initiatives to modernize service delivery through technology and best practices Build and maintain trusted relationships with client executives, understanding their business goals Oversee multiple client teams to ensure timely and accurate completion of engagements Analyze financial performance and provide actionable recommendations to improve profitability Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to deliver integrated client solutions Develop client budgets and forecasts, offering consultative support on financial planning Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master's degree a plus CPA designation preferred Minimum 8 years of relevant public accounting or industry accounting experience Experience with federal grant reporting and processing is required Proven success leading teams through organizational change and process improvement Strong project management and relationship-building skills Experience managing remote teams and promoting collaboration across geographies Benefits 8 health plan options, including HMO and PPO coverage, plus dental and vision coverage Opportunity to enroll in an HSA with potential employer contribution 401(k) savings plan with profit sharing and employer matching contribution Education and certification assistance along with flexible time off Diverse voluntary benefit offerings, including insurance and legal services Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
