About the Role
Sentara is hiring a Senior Mammography Technologist for the Mobile Mammography Unit with a $20,000 sign-on bonus available. At Sentara, we bring life-saving screening services directly into communities via brand-new Mobile Mammography Vans, removing barriers and increasing access. As the Senior Mammo Tech, you will often be the first face patients see, providing reassurance, comfort, and an empowering experience. Your role helps save lives by delivering essential breast health services to neighborhoods and communities in need.

Responsibilities
- Conduct general screening and diagnostic Mammography and/or Bone Densitometry imaging studies of patients, including:
- Positioning patients for correct anatomy/pathology demonstration
- Operating radiation-producing equipment and electronic radiology systems
- Preparing patient rooms, equipment, and medications
- Maintaining adequate supply inventory
- Explain examinations and procedures to patients and complete departmental documentation.
- Lead department operations and staff, acting as a liaison to Imaging leadership.
- Participate in system Imaging Committees.
Requirements
- Education: Associate’s degree in Radiologic Sciences or Trade School certificate
- Certification/Licensure: ARRT and ARRT (M)
- Experience: 2 years in Mammography
