About the role

As a Senior Maintenance Technician at The Falls at Forsyth, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that the community remains market-ready and residents' needs are promptly addressed. Your responsibilities will include addressing resident service requests, performing hands-on maintenance tasks, preparing market-ready apartments, conducting regular community inspections, and assuming managerial responsibilities in the absence of the Service Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Promptly addressing resident service requests
  • Performing hands-on maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical work, and more
  • Preparing market-ready apartments and maintaining community grounds
  • Conducting regular community inspections to identify necessary repairs or replacements
  • Assuming managerial responsibilities in the absence of the Service Manager

Requirements

  • Hands-on maintenance experience in areas including, but not limited to plumbing, electrical, appliance, and HVAC
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • A valid driver's license, good driving record, auto insurance, and reliable transportation (if operating a motorized vehicle)
  • Computer literacy
  • Knowledge of federal and state apartment housing laws
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends
  • EPA Section 608 Type I and Type II or Universal certification within 90 days of hire if required
  • Ability to respond to emergencies after normal business hours and on weekends when assigned on-call responsibilities
  • Service team employees required to use their own smartphone for certain job functions

Qualifications

  • Trade school certification/diploma
  • Managerial experience
  • Residential or commercial property management, hospitality, or retail experience

Skills

  • Hands-on maintenance experience
  • Computer literacy
  • Communication skills (oral and written)
  • Knowledge of apartment housing laws
  • Flexibility to work a flexible schedule, including weekends
  • Emergency response capability
  • Use of personal smartphone for job functions

Pay

The successful candidate's starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, and qualifications. Employees are eligible for overtime pay and performance incentives.
