Responsibilities
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair automated inspection packaging equipment including denesters/renesters, AIMs, labelers, conveyors, thermoformers, cartoners, and robotic systems.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement projects.
- Support equipment startups, changeovers, and line optimization efforts.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve equipment and process issues.
- Develop, monitor, and perform preventative maintenance procedures to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
- Review and track equipment component failures and recommend solutions for long-term reliability.
- Maintain appropriate equipment documentation and change control according to internal procedures.
- Complete work orders in a timely manner while maintaining accurate maintenance logs and documentation.
- Participate in spare part analysis and inventory development.
- Assist with installation and commissioning of new automated packaging equipment.
- Ensure all equipment operates in compliance with safety and quality standards.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED (Technical Associate degree preferred).
- 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience (or equivalent) in a multi-craft environment.
- Experience with automated inspection and packaging equipment preferred.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, sensors, drives, and control systems.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Effective communication skills.
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; ability to use enterprise software (e.g., D365, BPLM, Veeva, Trackwise).
Physical / Safety Requirements
- Must be able to lift, push/pull, and carry up to 50 pounds.
- May be required to stand for over 4 hours per day.
- Must be able to lift 20 pounds overhead.
- Must be able to wear personal protective equipment as required.
- Duties may require overtime work, including nights and weekends.
- Use of hands and fingers to manipulate office equipment and hand tools is required.
Schedule
3rd shift: Sunday - Thursday, 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM. Pre-scheduled required weekend overtime shifts during campaign seasons.
