We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to support a high-volume food manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production and packaging equipment to ensure maximum uptime, efficiency, and product quality in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on production and packaging equipment
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on conveyors, motors, gearboxes, pumps, and processing equipment
  • Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime and support production goals
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems, including motors, sensors, relays, and control panels
  • Assist with setup, changeovers, and adjustments to production lines
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
  • Perform basic welding, fabrication, and equipment modifications as needed
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records within CMMS (if applicable)
  • Follow all food safety (GMP), OSHA, and plant safety regulations
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (food or beverage highly preferred)
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills (bearings, conveyors, drive systems, pumps, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of electrical systems (motors, wiring, controls, 480V preferred)
  • Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings
  • Welding and fabrication experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with PLC troubleshooting is a plus
  • Ability to work independently on off-shifts with minimal supervision
  • Multi-craft capabilities (mechanical + electrical) highly valued
  • Must be willing to work 1 weekend day

Pay

$30 - $40 per hour

Schedule

2nd and 3rd shifts available
