Senior Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Greenspring Village by Erickson Senior Living, a 58-acre continuing care retirement community in Springfield, Virginia.

About the role

Join us as a Senior Maintenance Mechanic and help keep our senior living community safe, comfortable, and running smoothly. You’ll lead by example, share your knowledge and maintenance techniques with the team, oversee the condition of your assigned neighborhood, and take pride in creating a home our residents feel good about.

Responsibilities

• Perform necessary maintenance of HVAC equipment as assigned
• Perform all necessary scheduled preventive maintenance procedures on designated equipment while following manufacturer’s recommendations
• Respond to emergency calls for system and equipment failure
• Serve as the lead mechanic in assigned area(s) and be responsible for the overall condition of the neighborhood(s)

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a residential apartment complex, construction, or commercial building maintenance
• Working knowledge of residential building maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, flooring, and appliances
• Working knowledge of HVAC
• Ability to work a reasonable amount of scheduled and “on-call” overtime as necessary
• Ability to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds
• Current EPA certification to handle refrigerants

Pay

$32.00 - $34.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
