Responsibilities
- Lead the development, deployment, and support of COBOL and Hogan-based mainframe systems.
- Design and maintain applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, and related technologies.
- Collaborate across teams to support new feature development and production stability.
- Provide mentorship and code reviews to team members.
- Participate in full life-cycle development, from design through deployment.
- Balance time between new development and production support for UAT and AAE environments.
Requirements
- 9+ years of experience in Mainframe development.
- Strong hands-on expertise in COBOL, JCL, DB2, and Hogan.
- Experience with AS/400, RPG400, RPG III, DEC VAX, HP3000, or SYNON is a plus.
- Exposure to DevOps practices for mainframe CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP is preferred.
- Solid understanding of database design and system architecture.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Bonus Skills
- Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks.
- Experience with Docker/Kubernetes.
