Senior Machine Learning Engineer, Personalization

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, Personalization to join the team of a leader in the Media space. This role will focus on building and evolving machine learning solutions that improve search, ranking, and content discovery experiences at scale. You will help shape more intuitive and personalized user experiences by turning experimentation and data-driven insights into production-ready systems. The position partners closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, validate ideas, and enhance the overall listener experience through scalable engineering practices. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $184,049 – $262,928 annually Responsibilities Build and enhance machine learning models for personalized search experiences. Develop and optimize ranking and backend retrieval systems for content discovery. Explore AI and agentic approaches for more intuitive and conversational search experiences. Design, implement, and evaluate machine learning solutions from experimentation to production. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for search improvements. Use experimentation and data analysis to validate hypotheses and improve the listener experience. Contribute to scalable machine learning infrastructure and engineering practices. Qualifications 5+ years of experience building and deploying machine learning systems in production environments. Strong understanding of machine learning for information retrieval, search ranking, and recommendation systems. Proficiency in Python and familiarity with modern machine learning frameworks and data processing tools. Experience with backend engineering at scale in a high-demand environment. Ability to design and evaluate experiments and interpret model performance for product improvements. Experience working with large-scale datasets and scalable machine learning systems. Curiosity about emerging AI technologies, including large language models and agentic systems.
