About the role

Benchmark International is seeking an experienced Senior Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Training & Quality Specialist to strengthen Transaction Support (deal preparation) capabilities across our US offices.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a Transaction Support subject matter expert in financial analysis, business writing, CIM development, processes, systems, and best practices.
  • Audit learning needs and partner with Operations and Transaction Support leaders to prioritize skill gaps and development opportunities.
  • Translate complex M&A, financial, operational, and process topics into clear, practical learning experiences.
  • Conduct targeted quality control (QC) reviews of CIMs and related work products to promote quality, accuracy, and uniformity across offices; provide actionable feedback, leverage AI to enhance review efficiency, and use recurring findings to identify training and process-improvement opportunities.
  • Champion responsible use of AI and technology by evaluating tools, identifying practical applications, establishing guardrails, and supporting adoption.
  • Host recurring meetings with US Transaction Support teams to share best practices, address challenges, communicate updates, and promote consistency across offices.
  • Guide, review, and maintain training materials, presentations, facilitator guides, job aids, exercises, and assessments.
  • Facilitate group, virtual, and individual training for employees at varying experience levels and reinforce learning through coaching and follow-up.
  • Maintain training standards, content governance, version control, and current, scalable learning resources.
  • Promote effective use of Salesforce, including data quality, reporting, workflow adherence, system best practices, and user adoption.
  • Compile and analyze Transaction Support KPIs, training outcomes, and quality trends, and communicate key findings and recommendations to management.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to training, technology, quality, reporting, and Transaction Support processes.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, communications, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in M&A, Transaction Support, financial analysis, or a related field; prior M&A or Transaction Support experience is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Experience assessing learning needs and developing, facilitating, and improving training for adult learners.
  • Strong presentation, meeting facilitation, and coaching skills, with the ability to explain complex topics clearly and engage employees across multiple offices and experience levels.
  • Ability to develop and review practical, engaging training materials and learning resources.
  • Strong Salesforce experience, including platform navigation, reporting, data quality, workflow support, and user guidance.
  • Comfort with AI, emerging technology, and digital learning tools, including testing capabilities, identifying practical applications, establishing responsible-use practices, and supporting adoption.
  • Strong business and financial acumen, including the ability to analyze financial and operational information for presentation in M&A marketing materials.
  • Ability to read and interpret financial statements, tax returns, and supporting financial documentation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including professional business writing and editing.
  • Demonstrated ability to review financial and narrative work products with accuracy, sound judgment, and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to identify trends, recommend practical solutions, provide constructive feedback, and influence without direct authority.
  • Ability to quickly understand diverse businesses, industries, operating models, processes, and learner needs.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, independently lead projects, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word; experience with learning management systems, content-authoring tools, collaboration platforms, or AI-enabled productivity tools is preferred.
  • Ability to travel by plane and automobile as business needs require; no personal history of enforcement actions by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, FINRA, or any state securities regulatory body.
  • Ability to work in the office every day as this is not a remote or hybrid position.
  • Professional dress attire is required.

Pay

Annual salary range: $70,000–$85,000, commensurate with experience.
