What You'll Do

  • Collaborates closely with Borrowers, Loan Officers, Relationship and Portfolio Managers, Credit Analysts and Underwriters, Internal and External Legal counsel, and internal Loan Operations team members, as well as Title and Escrow agents, to ensure the timely closing of loans within the Commercial Real Estate Portfolio.
  • Takes the lead to proactively process a pipeline of diverse, demanding and complex Commercial Real Estate loans.
  • Manages loan closing activities for new Commercial Real Estate loans, modifications, renewals and extensions.
  • Actively works on obtaining post-closing conditions to avoid delinquencies.
  • Collaborates with Team Lead to assist where necessary, including but not limited to training and mentoring less experienced Loan Administrators.
  • Independently and effectively manages their individual pipeline of diverse and complex loans assigned to them to ensure timely and accurate closings.
  • Reviews and understands loan terms and conditions of loan approvals.
  • Analyzes transaction types and determines necessary due diligence items and legal documents required to ensure accurate closings and compliance with bank and regulatory requirements and procedures.
  • Initiates customer contact and coordinates receipt and review of outstanding due diligence items.
  • Directs internal Loan Support Group or outside counsel to prepare necessary loan documents.
  • Participates in document negotiations with borrower, legal counsel and lending personnel.
  • Identifies any obstacles to closing and presents viable alternatives and solutions.
  • Reviews title and works with Title Officer and/or legal counsel to resolve any outstanding title issues; prepares escrow instructions.
  • Facilitates loan closing and reconciles all fees and expenses at closing.
  • Works with necessary Loan Servicing teams to assist with customer inquiries.

What You'll Need

  • 5+ years of related experience in Loan Administration, Lending and/or Deposit Sales, or similar field.
  • High school diploma required.
  • Intermediate knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.
  • Intermediate knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
  • Knowledge of one or more loan types.
  • Proficient in multi-tasking in a team oriented environment and focused on the highest standards of client service.
  • Intermediate speaking and writing communication skills.

Compensation

Hourly range for new hires is generally $44.45 - $54.91 for Los Angeles, CA. Salary amount is determined by specific job location. In addition, the role may be eligible for annual bonus/incentives earned.
