Senior Living Chaplain

About the role

The Senior Living Chaplain at Birchwood Senior Living serves as a spiritual care provider and supporter to residents and their families/caregivers across multiple Senior Living communities. Responsibilities include providing spiritual guidance, leading religious services, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to enhance the overall well-being of residents.

Responsibilities

• Provide spiritual care and support to residents and families/caregivers
• Offer religious services and lead prayer and rituals
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop care plans
• Support residents in navigating life changes, grief, illness, and joy
• Attend to the mental health and emotional needs of residents
• Operate within a pluralistic, multicultural, multiracial, and spiritually diverse environment

Requirements

• Master of Divinity or equivalent degree from an accredited theological seminary
• Ecclesiastical endorsement from faith group, ordination, or commissioning by faith group
• Certified or certifiable by the Association of Professional Chaplains
• Preferred: Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) experience or equivalent

• $52,000 - $55,000 annual salary range ($31.00 - $33.00 per hour)
